N-methyl pyridoxane is an excellent extraction solvent, widely used as an extractor in the process of aromatic extraction, acetylene enrichment, butadiene separation and syngas desulfurization, butadiene separation and syngas, but also pesticides, engineering plastics, coatings, synthetic fibers, integrated circuits and other production solvents, can also be used as industrial detergents, dispersants, dyes, lubricant antifreeze and so on. The production method is made from the reaction of γ-butane ester with methylamine. The first step in the reaction is to γ-butane ester and methylbutylamine to produce 4-hydroxy-N-methylbutylamide, and the second step is to dehydrate to produce N-methylatonin. The two-step reaction can be carried out continuously in a tube reactor, with a molar ratio of γ-butane to methylamine of 1:1.15, a pressure of about 6MPa and a temperature of 250 degrees C. After the reaction is completed, the finished product is distilled by concentration and decompression. The yield is 90%. If the use of kettle-type anti-inverter production, the amount of methamine is 1.5-2.5 times the theoretical amount, to take laboratory preparation as an example. In a 500 ml heat press, add 2 mol-butane ester and 4 moles of liquid methamine, closed heating, and keep warm at 280 degrees C 4h. After cooling, release excess methylamine, distillation, collection of 201-202 degrees C fractions, about 180g of the product, the yield of about 90%.
